Best pick: Seth Trachtman gets Prince Fielder (No. 16). Sure, Joey Votto (No. 15) might be the better value pick, but owners might be forgetting how good Fielder is. If Fielder hits a few more homers, then he’ll be a first-round pick in 2015.

FULL ANALYSIS: Round 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6-7 | 8-10 | 11-13 | 14-16 | 17-19 | 20-28

Trending: Fielder and Votto are among the first basemen taken in the first two rounds – Edwin Encarnacion (No. 13) also is selected in Round 2. If you don’t grab a 1B early, you might have to “settle” for Freddie Freeman (No. 29) or Albert Pujols (No. 48) in the next two rounds. Freeman and Pujols require a lot more faith.

Draft decision: Yasiel Puig (No. 20) vs. Bryce Harper (No. 22) isn’t easy. That’s the decision that could decide whether my team is a contender or pretender. The 90-second dilemma ends with Puig, who has better marks in slugging percentage and OPS.
