Another big night in the NBA with nine games on the slate for Monday. Injuries to Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin, and Dwyane Wade open up value plays across the board. A lot of people are going to be high on Mitch McGary tonight, but he faced a depleted Clippers team and the Thunder were without Kendrick Perkins. They still have three other healthy bigs in Serge Ibaka, Perkins and Nick Collison, so it is going to be hard for McGary to repeat his strong performance.

The point guard position is led by two stud players in Chris Paul and John Wall. Paul is going to put up numbers in all categories and will be forced to play close to 40 minutes, which is why he’s my favorite point guard tonight. John Wall plays a lot better at home, will be forced to create more and put up more shots with Beal out, and faces a terrible defensive team in the Orlando Magic. The shooting guard position is filled with quality plays at the top with Monta Ellis and Tyreke Evans (SN Optimal Lineup pick). Both players are expensive though. The Greek Freak continues to put up huge numbers, but his price hasn’t increased that much. While I’ve touted Jamal Crawford before and it didn’t work out, he’s a great play again tonight because he’ll likely lead the team in field goal attempts (led the team with 20 FGA on Sunday) and his price tag is low across the board.
The small forward position actually has some good plays in Gordon Hayward, Tobias Harris, and Chandler Parsons. The power forward position is tough to fill on Fanduel as most of the high priced players are unlikely to reach value. The best way to go is to spend on some mid range players such as Dirk Nowitzki and Chris Bosh. The center position is the toughest position to roster tonight because there are so many great options at the position. Brook Lopez has been consistent and has shown the ability to put up huge games. However, Alexis Ajinca and Spencer Hawes are amazing value plays at the position and are worth rostering across the board.
