Far Cry 6 has a total of 106 missions (not counting Special Operations) scattered across Yara’s five regions. Missions are broken down into Operations, Yaran Stories, and Treasure Hunts. Objectives that aren’t included are the red icons marked on the minimap for “Ambush” or “Checkpoints.”
Updated on December 16th, 2021 by Hodey Johns: Don’t let it be said that there aren’t things to do in Far Cry 6. Players can waste double-digit hours farming, crafting, and exploring without ever touching the game’s missions. When they do start to knock out missions, they may be shocked at how one leads to another at almost every turn. Sometimes finishing one escort quest leads to an area with three or more quest-givers. To keep this from getting out of control, this guide has been updated to break down each mission by location, whenever possible (some span multiple areas).
Operations (Main Story)
Players who aren’t looking for 100% completion need to only do the Operations to beat the game. These quests are part of the campaign and are responsible for driving the conflict/story between Libertad, its allies, and Castillo.
There are Operations in every Yaran Region on the map. Players will need to fly or use a boat to get from Zamok Archipelago (Libertad HQ) to one of the Regions following the Prologue.
Far Cry 6 has a total of 56 Operations. Missions marked with (*) unlock amigos.

Monteros/Madrugada
Although players are allowed to choose which region to go to after Isla Santuario’s Operations, Clara pushes Dani towards Madrugada first. These involve aiding the Montero Family against Jose Castillo and enable players to unlock their first camp and decide what stores to construct.

Maximas Matanzas/Valle de Oro
These missions take place in the Valle de Oro region. There are two additional sidequests compared to the Monteros. Unlike Madrugada and El Este, Dani will need to secure the Guerrilla Camp before they can start any of the Maximas Operations.

The Legends/El Este
These are set in the El Este region. Avoid taking a flying vehicle to “Meet the Legends” objective marker because there’s an Anti-Aircraft Canon near the coast. Players will have to travel by boat, or they can walk/drive from Valle de Oro.

Esperanza & Isla Del Leon
These all take place in the northern region of Yara and each one is triggered by completing Operations.

There are 21 Treasure Hunts in the game.
