While it isn’t necessarily a hugely special gun, the basic 1911 pistol is a staple in the franchise. It’s iconic for its appearance in numerous video games and is a bit more versatile than the first pistol Far Cry 6 players receive when the game starts. Plus, there’s a unique version called “Blood Drunk” that’s one of the game’s most visually appealing options. That makes it a worthy addition for pretty much any player, whether they just want a new weapon or they’re trying to unlock everything in Far Cry 6.

Where to Find the 1911 Pistol in Far Cry 6

Like most of the core weapons in Far Cry 6, players don’t necessarily need to find the 1911 pistol. While it can be located in crates found in military zones around the world, like a checkpoint, for example, it’s also possible to buy it outright. To do so, players just need to build the Guerrilla Garrison at one of their camps. After that, players will unlock the option to buy the pistol from the Garrison itself.

Those looking for something a bit more advanced may want to pick up the Blood Drunk pistol in Far Cry 6. It has incendiary rounds that can be useful when clearing out fields and controlling portions of the battlefield. Plus, there’s a chance that it will heal the player upon dealing damage, making it all the more useful.

To earn the weapon, head to Jose’s Villa, which players will visit during the “Napoleon El Pequeno" mission. During the hacking segment of the mission inside of the office, the Yaran Contrabrand Crate containing the weapon will be located in the room against a wall. Open it, and the weapon will be available for the rest of the journey.

With the 1911 in tow, players can get back to exploring what Yara has to offer. Blood Drunk pairs pretty well with the Urushi rifle when taking down some of Far Cry 6’s spicier segments, so it’s worth unlocking both weapons before continuing on with the main story and side activities.

Far Cry 6 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X
