Farthest Frontier: How to Get Clay
The first step toward obtaining Clay in Farthest Frontier is to locate a deposit. As previously noted, players should look for these deposits immediately upon loading a map, and they are marked by icons that depict a chunk of the brown material. If fans of city building games can simply not find any Clay Deposits during their preliminary searches, they may want to start a new game to avoid running into issues as they progress.

Upon locating a Clay Deposit, survival game players must place a Clay Pit upon it. These buildings can be constructed once a Town Center reaches Tier 2 and a Wagon Shop has been established. For full clarity, upgrading a Town Center to Tier 2 requires Wood, Wood Planks, and Stone, and building a Wagon Shop requires Wood Planks and Stones. While these materials are not particularly difficult to obtain, it will still take a bit of effort to fulfill the prerequisites for making a Clay Pit.
With respect to actually placing the Clay Pit in Farthest Frontier, that is a very simple thing to do. Indeed, it only takes some Wood and Wood Planks to construct this building, and the grid beneath it will be green when it is positioned above a deposit. Conversely, that grid will be red when the Clay Pit is not in a suitable spot, indicating that strategy game players will need to find a new place for the building before it can be set down.
Once a Clay Pit has been established, indie game players can start crafting with the Clay that it collects. More specifically, fans can use the Clay to make things like Hospitals and Schools. Additionally, players will earn the ability to turn their Clay into Bricks as soon as they establish a Brickyard. That building can be constructed once a fan’s Town Center is upgraded to Tier 3, and the Bricks that it produces can be used to set up a Market Square, a Cheesemaker, and more.
