After being delayed due to coronavirus from its original release window in May, Fast and Furious Crossroads eventually released on August 7th to consoles and PC. However, looking at the multiple negative reviews on Steam, players have begun to comment on the quality of the game, and specifically the quality of porting the game to PC, with some assuming the port to be an afterthought.

The major problem that players are having on steam, comes from a lack of keyboard support, with keybindings not being customizable and onscreen button prompts referring to controllers. This has led a number of players to comment that the original launch of Fast and Furious Crossroads was sloppily ported from console to PC, without taking common and basic PC features in mind. As a result, the game currently has a mostly negative review rating on Steam, based heavily on this lack of keyboard support, along with other grievances that have begun cropping up around this missing feature.

From what can be seen on the Steam page, this doesn’t look like a case of disgruntled players review bombing, like Last of Us Part 2, as there are only 21 reviews at the time of this writing, two days after the game’s release.

With Fast and Furious Crossroads being highly anticipated, thanks in part to the popular movie series the game is based on, players finding a disappointing feature could easily heighten negative views on it. That being said, PC players have certainly grown accustomed to certain features coming standard, including keyboard support and keybinding customization. So when a game fails to meet those basic standards, it can easily disrupt the enjoyment of those players, especially when almost every other game on the platform conforms to has previously conformed to this standard, even as a port.

Fast and Furious Crossroads is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
