Tacoma Police received a 911 call at about 5:45 a.m. on November 28, alerting them to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on East 44th and Portland Avenue. Patrol officers arrived on the scene shortly after. They were soon joined by the Tacoma Police Department’s Collision Investigation Team, along with crime scene technicians. The pedestrian, who was identified as an 18-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision....
